Gridview not updating on postback

Rated 4.54/5 based on 509 customer reviews

A personal project I am currently working on is creating a database site, which will drive a organizations on-line membership management system.

One of the pages relies on a grid view at the top, which has selectable rows which a form view below relies on.

Basically, I have a SQLData Source that is a stored procedure that has two parameters (datetime).

I have two calendars that set these parameters on click.

Note: 2008 and older issues are only available as files.

Can any one give me an idea about how to solve the issue without make the page refreshed.

I will have a quick google to find you a nice example and will update my post when I find one. This example is without viewstate (which I prefer): View-using-Sql Data This is an even better example I found that uses an update panel.

If you have a large amount of data, update panels are a very good thing: I tried implementing it but since the first link had no parameters in the example, I had to add a few lines to make the parameters stick after choosing the parameter dates on the calendar.
